The Journal of Hypermedia & Technology-Enhanced Learning (J-HyTEL) is technically and financially supported by Sagamedia Teknologi Nusantara to ensure the sustainability of its infrastructure. However, Sagamedia is not involved in any editorial decision-making. All editorial decisions are made solely based on objective scientific criteria, including the relevance of manuscripts to the journal’s scope, scientific impact, and the overall quality of the submitted articles. This guarantees editorial independence, which is a core principle of the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
J-HyTEL operates under a free open-access model, allowing readers worldwide to access, download, and share articles without any cost. This approach supports the broad dissemination of knowledge, removes financial barriers, and benefits academics, professionals, and the general public alike.
The journal is managed by an international editorial team, consisting of experts from various countries, in collaboration with Digital Society Lab and PVKTII. All editorial processes adhere to the strict guidelines of COPE, ensuring that each stage of the publishing process—from peer review to final publication—complies with high ethical standards, transparency, and objectivity in scientific evaluation.
By upholding these principles, J-HyTEL is committed to maintaining scientific integrity, ensuring reliable open access, and making a significant contribution to advancing global knowledge.
